Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Science Consultant to join our team at Sia Partners. As a key member of our data science & analytics team, you will work on both local and international client engagements on data science topics, including data acquisition and exploration, building relevant models, and presenting results to stakeholders.

You will also contribute to internal data science projects hosted on Heka, our internal accelerator for data science projects:

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement data-driven solutions to drive business growth and improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver data science projects
  • Analyze complex data sets to identify trends and insights
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and concise reports and presentations
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data science

Requirements

  • 1-3 years' experience as a Data Scientist, Data Engineer, and/or Data Analyst (ideally in consulting)
  • At least a bachelor's or equivalent degree in a relevant area of study (Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field of study) from a top university
  • Good skills in Python and ideally another analytical language (e.g., R, SQL, Scala)
  • Hands-on experience ingesting and processing data, building models, and delivering outputs (shipping code, deploying models, publishing dashboards, etc.)
  • Problem-solving aptitude and strong business acumen
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • English fluency and proficiency in 1 or more Asian language(s), e.g., Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean
  • Strong plus: Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Looker)
  • Strong plus: Hands-on experience and certifications with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure, Alibaba cloud)
  • Strong plus: Hands-on experience with GenAI tools and infrastructure
