School Groundskeeper

Shenendehowa Central School District is seeking a reliable and hardworking School Groundskeeper to help us maintain our grounds and facilities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in lawn care and maintenance, with a focus on attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform routine grounds maintenance duties, including mowing, pruning, and watering lawns and gardens
• Maintain outdoor facilities, including benches, trash cans, and playground equipment
• Assist with snow removal and ice control during winter months
• Monitor and report any damage or issues with grounds or facilities

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent and experience in lawn care and maintenance
• Working knowledge of lawn care methods, materials, and equipment
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Establish and maintain good relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and administration
• Thoroughness, good judgment, mental alertness, tact, and courtesy
• Physical condition suitable for the position
