Responsibilities

The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in the Clinical Sciences department, focusing on the education of future veterinary professionals, enhancing animal health through innovative clinical research, and fostering community engagement. The individual will be responsible for delivering both theoretical and practical instruction, alongside clinical mentorship within their diagnostic service. They will assist students in synthesizing and applying their knowledge, skills, and professional conduct; provide clinical services; and undertake administrative responsibilities to support the growth of the College and its various Departments. Active participation in research initiatives is anticipated.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a veterinary degree that is recognized for registration as a veterinary surgeon in Hong Kong, such as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc), or an equivalent qualification for all roles. For the position of Clinical Associate Professor or higher, board certification (from European, Australian/New Zealand, American, or equivalent Boards) in the relevant field is mandatory. For the Clinical Assistant Professor role, candidates should have completed or be nearing completion of board certification credentials. A background in clinical teaching, service, and research is essential, with a PhD being highly desirable.

The remuneration package will be competitive within the market and will reflect individual performance. Attractive benefits include a gratuity, leave entitlements, medical and dental plans, and relocation support (if applicable). The initial appointment will be on a fixed-term basis.
