About the Museum:

  • Examine, treat, and document museum objects

  • Develop and implement conservation plans and policies
  • Collaborate with curators, registrars, and other teams to ensure proper care of collections
  • Conduct research and contribute to the field of conservation and scientific research

Requirements:

  • A master's degree in conservation or similar training from a recognized college or university
  • At least 5 years of verifiable museum conservation experience beyond the degree level
  • Broad knowledge of conservation techniques, materials, and equipment used in the preservation of museum objects
  • Experience with Chinese art or archaeological materials preferred
  • Knowledge of procedures and best practices for examination and conservation of museum objects
  • Extensive experience with exhibition-related conservation matters
  • A proven track record of professional accomplishments in conservation and scientific research
  • Excellent organizational, diplomatic, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple complex projects
