**Responsibilities**
Patent portfolio management: Preparing, filing, and prosecuting patent applications, maintaining a robust patent portfolio, and ensuring timely renewals.
Intellectual property protection and management: Handling the Centre's intellectual property assets, operating mechanisms for their protection and management, and keeping track of income generation, accounts receivables, and cost incurred relating to the use of ABIC's IP assets.
Reporting and compliance: Compiling reports to university management teams, funding agencies, and government departments, ensuring compliance with relevant policies, laws, and regulations.
Collaboration: Working closely with patent attorneys, researchers, and industry partners to develop and implement effective patent strategies.

**Requirements**
A Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant field, such as law, engineering, or a related discipline, is required. A minimum of two years of experience in patent law, preferably within a university or research institution setting, is essential. Familiarity with relevant IP laws, regulations, government policies, and university best practices in Hong Kong and internationally is also required.
