The Hong Kong Trade Development Council, a statutory organisation promoting Hong Kong's external trade, is seeking a high-calibre professional to lead our Exhibitions and Digital Business Department.
Responsibilities:- Lead a team in managing resources, maintaining and executing policies, procedures, plans, and systems for operational duties related to trade fairs and public fairs in Hong Kong.
- Formulate operation strategies, develop strategic and contingency plans to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct research, observe industry trends, provide strategic insights, and identify new development opportunities.
- Oversee event services including vendor appointment and supervision, venue cooperation, and stakeholder liaison.
- Implement ad-hoc compliance measures in relation to new policies and regulations.
- A university degree or equivalent in Business Administration or Accounting.
- A minimum of 8 years' solid managerial experience in marketing/business development, with the exhibition industry being an advantage.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua.
- Strong problem-solving skills, proven track record in operational planning and execution.
- Strong analytical and project management skills, able to handle multiple tasks with tight timelines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, strong leadership and team management skills.
The successful candidate will be offered a two-year contract with prospects for renewal upon expiry. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, plus an appropriate contract-end gratuity. Medical benefits and annual leave will be provided.
