About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Technical Account Manager to join our team at Bloomberg. As a key member of our Data department, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with fund managers and other data providers in the funds industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build relationships with a range of fund houses and data providers to ensure seamless data flow and high-quality data delivery.
  • Utilize market knowledge to perform market analysis and identify new areas for data procurement, driving business growth and expansion.
  • Liaise with other departments, such as Product, Sales, News, and Engineering, to improve relevant product databases and enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Assist our world-renowned client support help desk with raised client inquiries, providing expert guidance and upskilling our clients through training and client calls.
  • Take ownership and be proactive with key areas of responsibility in handling account relationships, ensuring timely resolution of issues and continuous improvement.
  • Report on results of ongoing operations and projects, as required, to ensure transparency and accountability.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience working as a data analyst or in the asset management and/or finance industry.
  • Experience working in the funds or asset management space or related industries, with a specialization in Hong Kong.
  • Knowledge in information technology and statistical analysis or computer programming, such as Excel, SQL, and/or Python.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly client management.
  • Keen interest in relationship management.
  • Effective project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Ability to isolate issues and resolve problems logically.
  • Ability to adapt within a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and desire to work on multidisciplinary teams.
  • Desire to improve and further develop our products.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or certification such as a CFA charter holder or CAIA.
  • Mandarin Chinese proficiency to confidently support and handle complex conversations with clients.
  • Experience in customer service or client relationship management.
  • Experience leading a group of people to achieve a common goal.
