Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior System Specialist to join our team at Classy Wheeler Limited. This is a unique opportunity to work on large-scale data center implementation projects, designing and implementing infrastructure components such as virtualization platforms, operating systems, servers, storage, backup systems, and availability monitoring solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong project design and implementation experience, with a solid understanding of VMware, Linux, and SI background. They will be responsible for hands-on technical specialist positions, serving in large-scale data center implementation projects from design to implementation.

This role requires the ability to implement related IT and supervising tasks, including security management, program and document specifications, product assessment, and user training. The successful candidate will also be responsible for performing troubleshooting and problem resolution, preparing system documentation and reporting, and maintaining good performance on network infrastructure.

The job requirements include a degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent, with at least 11 years of system administration experience. Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential for this role.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and implement network infrastructure and data center network
  • Provide network architectural design and solutions for enterprise network infrastructure to meet business requirements and cost-effectiveness
  • Perform network infrastructure installation, deployment, maintenance, support, and troubleshooting
  • Provide technical support and planning on system software and hardware
  • Liaise with users and external vendors to collect user requirements and propose suitable solutions in a cost-effective manner
  • Maintain good performance on network infrastructure
  • Perform troubleshooting and problem resolution
  • Prepare system documentation and reporting

Requirements

  • Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent with at least 11 years of system administration experience
  • Strong project design and implementation experience
  • 5 years or above IT work experience
  • Experienced in VMware and Linux, SI background
  • Solid experience in VMWare, MS Windows, Red Hat Linux system administration and technical support on both virtualized and physical environments
  • Knowledge of HPE Server, Storage, backup, and Switch
  • Familiar with security design, OS hardening
  • Stable, responsible, self-motivated, and willing to work under pressure
  • Able to work outside of office hours for production problems and changes
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills

Estimated Salary

$120,000 - $180,000 per year
