Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Installation Engineer to join our dynamic team in Hong Kong. As a key member of our Installation Engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality installation engineering services for our railway projects. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the successful execution of our projects, and you will play a critical role in maintaining our reputation for excellence in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide detailed installation engineering deliverables, including schedules and workloads, in accordance with our reference library and industry standards.
- Develop and propose validation cycles for documentation, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements, including customer and subcontractor specifications.
- Monitor and report on the progress of installation engineering activities, ensuring timely delivery of documents and adherence to project schedules.
- Support the Project Manager in Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) reviews, identifying and mitigating risks, and proposing solutions to ensure project success.
- Interface with other project stakeholders, including internal and external teams, to gather necessary data and deliver installation engineering services.
- Identify and report on issues related to documentation and drawings, providing root cause analysis and proposing solutions to improve reference library evolution.
- Perform site surveys during preparation and execution phases, as required.
- Liaise with BIM Coordinators to coordinate common installation engineering studies and deliverables.
- Ensure the application of Alstom's Installation and Field Operations (FO) processes for installation engineering activities.
Requirements
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Basic experience in railway site management.
- Strong knowledge of railway products and services, including different market segments (urban, mainline, and freight and maintenance).
- At least 8 years of production experience in design, drafting, or engineering, with project and/or construction experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to fulfill the role of interface manager.
- Quality-focused, rigorous, and team-player with decision-making and problem-solving ability.
- Resilience and analytical thinking to solve complex engineering issues.
- Willingness to work at day and night shifts and site works, subject to work arrangement.
