Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech Therapist to join our research team at the Department of Linguistics and Modern Languages. The appointee will be based at a research centre to assist with a research project concerning language and communication in pre-schooler children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments online and in-person to identify communication needs and develop intervention plans.
  • Provide online and face-to-face intervention to children and their parents to support language development and communication skills.
  • Conduct testing and scoring research data to inform the development of effective interventions.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary research and clinical team to achieve project goals.
  • Provide standard clinical services to children with communication problems, as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Grade E/Level 2 or above in Chinese and English (Syllabus B) in HKCEE/HKDSE.
  • Native proficiency in Cantonese and strong English and Chinese writing skills.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with children with ASD and experience in conducting research using structured clinical protocols.

What We Offer:

  • Initial appointment on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
