The Employees Retraining Board is a government department responsible for providing employment services and supporting individuals in their career development.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Deputy Manager (Placement Services).

Your Key Responsibilities

  • To assist in managing and developing ERB's district-based services through the ERB Service Centre and Service Spots network.
  • To coordinate the development of service network set-up at designated locations, including renovation and design work of the service centre.
  • To plan for and manage software and applications development in support of service operation and new service features at the district service network.
  • To handle tendering of service contracts related to district service operation and manage service operators.
  • To prepare operation guidelines and monitor service performances of service operators.
  • Any other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A recognized University degree preferably in Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Human Resources Management, or relevant disciplines with a minimum of 5 years' post-degree work experience, of which at least 2 years should be at supervisory level.
  • Experience in project management of renovation work and service application development would be an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of employment services, service centre administration, vocational training and/or continuing education with relevant experience in public organizations or NGOs would be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, time management, organizational abilities, and attention to details.
  • Good team player with effective interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good command of English and Chinese, and good PC skills.
