Award winning fashion design studio, JPC TEXSON LTD, is seeking an experienced Pattern Maker. Our workshop in Hong Kong designs and manufactures ladies evening dresses, bridal gowns, night and evening fashion, and tailor made garments.
The Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Pattern Maker to collaborate with our Fashion Designer in creating patterns from hand sketches, technical sketches, and/or technical packs through customer approval process to final sample. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with the Fashion Designer to create patterns.
- Responsible for sample mock-up, fitting, final garment construction, and technical advice throughout the development to production process.
- Act as a team leader to pass on paper patterns, sewing instructions, handiwork instructions, and QC instructions to the manufacturing team.
- Provide fitting comments and technical advice to ensure quality standards and requirements are met.
- Extensive experience with tailor made womenswear, evening gowns, wedding gowns, corsets, and draping is essential.
- At least 5 years of experience as a pattern maker in the fashion design/garment field, inclusive of evening wear and bridal gowns.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and strong technical knowledge of garment construction. Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure are also necessary. Experience with CAD software and computer-aided design tools is a plus.
