Renowned Professor in Surgery

Seeking a distinguished Tenure-Track Clinical Assistant Professor to join our esteemed Department of Surgery at the School of Clinical Medicine.

The University is a world-renowned institution dedicated to excellence in education, research, and patient care. Our Department of Surgery is committed to delivering cutting-edge medical services and advancing the field through innovative research.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, ranging from HK$900,000 to over HK$1,200,000 per annum, depending on individual circumstances. In addition to annual leave and medical benefits, the appointee will receive a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.

We are seeking a highly accomplished Tenure-Track Clinical Assistant Professor to contribute to our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, conduct high-quality scholarly research, provide clinical service and patient care at our teaching hospitals, and engage in administrative duties within the Department and Faculty.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to assist in the development of the HKU-Shenzhen Hospital and may be required to travel to Shenzhen as part of their duties.

Applicants should possess a medical qualification registrable with the Medical Council of Hong Kong, preferably with a higher professional qualification such as Specialty Fellowship in Surgery of The College of Surgeons of Hong Kong or equivalent.

They should have a strong commitment to, and demonstrated excellence in, teaching medical students and training interns and residents, as well as outstanding achievements in research and publications.
