Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Medical Technologist / Associate Medical Technologist. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing daily laboratory operations, maintaining equipment, and conducting quality control measures. In addition, they will assist in implementing new protocols and evaluating new sequencing technologies.

About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology and experience with next-generation sequencing systems. They will also possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily and routine laboratory operations, equipment maintenance, and calibration
- Process and analyze clinical specimens using molecular testing methods
- Extract DNA/RNA from clinical tissue samples and perform cell culture work
- Conduct quality control measures, library preparation, and operate next-generation sequencing systems
- Assist in implementing new protocols and evaluating new sequencing technologies
- Participate in research and development activities
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior officers

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory sciences, biochemistry, biology, or equivalent
- Certificate of Registration (MLT Part I) and valid Practising Certificate issued by the Medical Laboratory Technologists Board, Hong Kong (MLT Board)
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in genetic research laboratories or medical laboratories with provision of genetic testing
- Preferably with 2 years of working experience in short/long-read sequencing (QC and preliminary data analysis) and quality management systems
