IT Architecture Visionary

The Senior IT Architect / IT Architect (Application) is responsible for providing strategic technical directions, designing and implementing principles on Application, API, and Microservice architecture for the Bank. The right candidate will become a member of our IT Architect Office, serving as the technical authority to govern, design, and build enterprise-level architecture for the Bank.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Enterprise Application Architecture that aligns with the Bank's technology roadmaps.
• Define end-to-end IT strategy, standards, and processes, establishing frameworks and operation models for API-led and Microservices architecture applications on cloud-based and container platforms.
• Establish and maintain architecture principles, standards, and best practices related to enterprise architectures, ensuring consistent application.
• Facilitate legacy applications' transformation to new API platforms and Microservice architecture.
• Standardize CI/CD setup for DevSecOps, API management tools, and automated deployment with API monitoring and service management mechanisms.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage risks associated with Application and Cloud architecture.
• Research and evaluate new technologies or products in related areas valuable to IT strategy.
• Provide advisory services for technology innovations addressing business challenges.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
• At least 10 years of post-qualification IT experience with a minimum of 5 years in Application Architect-related roles, preferably in banking or financial services industries.
• Strong experience in managing enterprise IT application architecture and providing advisories for technical solutions of various IT projects and applications of the Bank.
• Strong understanding of enterprise IT application architectures, particularly in IaaS, PaaS, SaaS enterprise cloud computing, and containerized architectures and technology.
• Experience working with Kubernetes container platform, Cloud platform, GitLab, CI/CD pipeline is a plus.
• Experience in digital transformation, transforming from Monolithic to Microservice application, Domain Driven Design (DDD) is a great plus.
• Good understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF.
• Good knowledge of emerging technologies, market best practices, and industry trends.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin).
• Proven strategic thinker to provide big-picture visions for future technology development.
• Self-motivated, open-minded, good problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with a strong "can-do" attitude.
• Holder of related professional certificates will be an added advantage.
• Candidates with less experience will be considered as IT Architect.
