Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the regulatory reporting framework in accordance with the guidelines established by the HKMA, ensuring that all banking returns and surveys are accurately compiled.
  • Implement rigorous control checks and review mechanisms to reduce reporting inaccuracies.
  • Support the execution of system enhancement initiatives related to banking return reporting and undertake additional tasks as directed by management.
  • Prepare financial documentation as requested by both internal and external auditors.
  • Address inquiries from various departments, branches, and subsidiaries effectively.
  • Ensure that financial outcomes and management reports are accurately derived from general ledgers and other financial documentation.
  • Facilitate communication regarding reporting requirements for month-end closures and statutory submissions across all departments.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in Accounting or Finance.
  • HKICPA or equivalent professional certification.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in banking and financial accounting or regulatory reporting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with HKMA banking returns and surveys.
  • Experience in project management related to system implementations is advantageous.
  • Practical experience in liaising with the HKMA and both internal and external auditors.
  • A collaborative team player with strong communication skills and an awareness of risk management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
