Our client, a leading Global Insurance company, is seeking a seasoned Cloud Infrastructure Transformation Engineer to join their Infrastructure team. This role offers the opportunity to drive cloud transformation to Azure, ensuring seamless service continuity and scalability.

Job Overview:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions, leveraging Azure as the preferred platform.
  • This includes analyzing requirements, managing current traffic, and facilitating scaling, while deciding which digital assets will reside in the cloud versus on-premises.
  • The Cloud Infrastructure Transformation Engineer will select appropriate hardware, software, and tools that align with technical and security needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. IT Infrastructure Design: Develop and implement cloud-based infrastructure solutions, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and regulatory compliance standards are met.
  2. Security Management: Assess threats and vulnerabilities, implement security standards, and ensure compliance, developing a comprehensive disaster recovery plan with effective backup solutions.
  3. Infrastructure Provisioning: Utilize Infrastructure as Code to automate provisioning and management, moving away from manual processes.
  4. Project Management: Oversee software upgrades and system integrations, creating policies and procedures for seamless integration while managing the entire process as a project manager.
  5. Monitoring and Logging: Collect and analyze performance data from various assets to ensure infrastructure health, deploying automated tools for monitoring and alerting on issues.
  6. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain technical documentation detailing hardware, software, and responsibilities, generating performance reports, problem-solving guides, and upgrade plans.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience, with 3+ years in a high-availability enterprise environment.
  • Azure, AWS, or GCP certifications (Azure preferred).
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, SAP architecture, and Windows/Linux server environments.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and regulatory compliance standards.

Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
