Quality Assurance Engineer

Gravitas Recruitment Group is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our software products.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Development Team: Work closely with the development team to guarantee the quality of both front-end and back-end components, adhering to industry best-practices and architectural principles.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with other Quality Assurance Engineers to ensure the overall quality of the platform, including functional and non-functional requirements such as performance, stability, and security.
  • Innovative Solutions: Identify innovative solutions aligned with technology trends to demonstrate the Quality Assurance team's ability to solve automation problems effectively and efficiently.
  • Communication: Communicate clearly and concisely Quality Assurance decisions with Engineers and other IT stakeholders in simple or technical terms.
  • Team Collaboration: Share experience, technical expertise, best practices, and help the IT team overcome hurdles.
  • Proactive Mindset: Demonstrate a proactive mindset in helping other Quality Assurance & Software Engineers if they require help or expertise.
  • Global Teamwork: Collaborate with the rest of the IT team members, both onshore and offshore, to ensure that solutions delivered are high-quality and easy-to-support.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 3+ years' experience in a Quality Assurance Engineering role working with JavaScript/TypeScript or Java.
  • Quality Assurance Mindset: Strong Quality Assurance mindset demonstrated in both manual testing and automation testing with the Robot Framework or Selenium Web Driver.
  • Database Knowledge: Strong database knowledge and ability to query advanced statements in Postgres, Oracle, and/or MariaDB.
  • Communication Skills: Effective and confident communication skills in written and spoken English.
  • Security & Performance: Awareness of Security & Performance concepts and methods to validate these.
  • Application Performance Monitoring: Experience working with Application Performance Monitoring tools.
  • Automation Concepts: Thorough understanding of automation concepts and tools such as Docker, CI/CD, and Jenkins.
  • Agile Team Experience: Experience working in an Agile Team, either Scrum, XP, Lean, or Kanban.
