About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Settlement Officer to join our team in Hong Kong. As a key member of our operations department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of daily settlement functions for equities, futures & options business, while maintaining compliance with policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support daily settlement operations for equities, futures & options business, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions, statements, and reports.
- Conduct daily stock reconciliations for the HK market and China Stock Connect, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Prepare and review daily transactions, statements, and settlement reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Follow up on unsettled client transactions, communicating with clients and internal stakeholders as necessary.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of trade-related activities, including IPO financing, corporate actions, fund deposits, clearing, withdrawals, and placements.
- Handle margin call requirements/movements from futures exchanges, collaborating with internal teams as needed.
- Assist in ad-hoc projects assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to take on new challenges.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Tertiary education or above.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in both equities and futures operations, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong knowledge of SFC and HKEX rules and regulations, with the ability to apply them in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with CCASS and DCASS systems, with the ability to navigate complex processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and clients.
- Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of Officer.
