About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Leader to join our medical waste treatment plant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

The Key Responsibilities:

  • Shift Management: Manage the shift and lead the team to ensure adherence to the waste treatment schedule and compliance with operational procedures.
  • Resource Planning: Plan, organize, direct, and control resources such as machinery and manpower during shifts.
  • Process Monitoring: Monitor plant processes, react to plant upsets/malfunctions, troubleshoot issues, and take corrective actions to restore normal operations.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify operational issues, equipment malfunctions, or process deviations and take appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the Engineering and Maintenance Teams to resolve technical problems.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to alarms and emergency conditions, taking steps to correct and normalize conditions.
  • Optimization: Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to subordinates and support the development of junior operators.
  • Requirements:
    • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Operations Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
    • At least 5 years of experience in chemical plant or process plant operations.
    • Knowledge in wastewater treatment, incineration, or boiler operations is an advantage.
