About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Manager to join our Fixed Income team at AIA International Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading or assisting the Head of Fixed Income on the AIMHK Money Market fund.

Your primary focus will be on formulating investment strategies, leading fund performance, and ensuring credit quality. You will also be responsible for conducting order placements and ensuring that cash becomes productive assets by placing them in short-term money market securities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement investment strategies to achieve fund performance goals
  • Collaborate with internal and external counterparties to source deals and meet investment requirements
  • Identify and evaluate investment opportunities that meet client and fund objectives
  • Maintain relationships with banks and stay up-to-date on potential deals, market rates, and fund flows
  • Build and maintain portfolio-wide analytics to monitor sectoral and name risk
  • Perform regular fund reviews and portfolio manager calls to ensure compliance with fund mandates and risk management
  • Analyze peer fund performances and identify areas for improvement
  • Focus on continuous improvement in supervising systems and maintaining up-to-date data for analysis
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects related to fixed income as assigned
Requirements:
  • Deep understanding of responsible money market securities and home market dynamics
  • Previous experience in HKD money market fund management
  • Proficiency in portfolio analytical tools, such as Bloomberg PORT
  • At least 8 years of fund management experience with a sound knowledge of total return strategies and credits on responsible markets
  • Ability to work independently and balance multiple demands
  • Strong competence in portfolio analysis and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields
  • Professional qualification, such as ACCA, CFA, FRM, preferred
  • Certificate in ESG Investing preferred
  • Good communication skills and proficiency in English
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Possession of relevant SFC license required
