Support Analyst for Trading Systems

Position Overview: As a vital member of the trading support team at IO TECH SOLUTIONS LIMITED, you will be tasked with delivering essential assistance to traders and trading platforms across multiple exchanges. Your role is crucial in maintaining the uninterrupted functionality of trading operations by overseeing daily activities, conducting system verifications, and addressing trader inquiries during market hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct early morning checks on trading systems to ensure readiness.
- Facilitate daily trading operations for both High Touch and Low Touch cash Equities as well as Futures & Options desks.
- Respond to trader inquiries and requests throughout trading hours.
- Collaborate with Level 2 and Level 3 support teams to resolve production issues and inquiries.
- Work alongside Development teams during production rollouts and software updates.
- Monitor the performance and capacity of trading systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Act as a bridge between Traders and the Development team to enhance communication.
- Manage incidents effectively while adhering to established change management protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in supporting Trading Systems (OMS/EMS) such as Fidessa, GL OMS, or Bloomberg OMS, with a background in Institutional Equities.
- Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the Cash Equity sector, particularly in Direct Market Access (DMA), Agency, and Program Trading contexts. Strong familiarity with exchange regulations across key Asian markets including Hong Kong, China CONNECT, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Australia, India, and Indonesia.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Unix/Linux environments, Shell scripting, and Perl. Basic knowledge of SQL, Oracle (user level), and FIX protocols is advantageous.
- Experience with monitoring tools for Trading Systems such as Kibana, Grafana, Logstash, and ITRS.
- Tools: Familiarity with Change and Incident Management tools like ServiceNow.
- Attributes: A self-motivated individual capable of independent work. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach. Awareness of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance or a related discipline is required.
