Job Opportunity

The Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care at The Chinese University of Hong Kong is seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to join its research team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide statistical support to the research team and utilize statistical software or programming to analyze data, discover knowledge, and produce insightful graphs and tables.
  • Supervise and provide training to junior teammates, promoting their growth and development.
  • Contribute to the development of research projects, including those focused on disease prevention, dementia, and artificial intelligence platforms.
  • Collaborate with the research team to achieve project goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • MPhil or Master's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field, with four years of relevant post-qualification work experience.
  • Knowledge of statistical modeling and/or machine learning, as well as proficiency in related programming languages, such as R or Python.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High self-motivation and a strong desire to develop academic research.

Appointment Details

  • Initial appointment on a contract basis for one year, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
  • Opportunity to work on a variety of research projects and contribute to the growth and development of the research team.
