The Role
  • Oversee a team of skilled Software Developers and AI Engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure project success.
  • Contribute to both software development and AI development projects as an individual contributor, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of projects within budget, leveraging your expertise in project management and resource allocation.
  • Maintain open communication channels with stakeholders, ensuring clear expectations and feedback throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Evaluate team performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance productivity and collaboration.
  • Maximise resource utilisation across projects, prioritising tasks and optimising workflows to meet project goals.
  • Foster a positive team culture, promoting continuous learning, professional growth, and innovation within the teams.
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure the quality and reliability of our solutions.
  • Encourage and drive innovation within the teams, seeking opportunities to improve processes and leverage emerging technologies.
  • Cultivate collaboration between the software development and AI engineering teams, ensuring cohesive and coordinated efforts towards common objectives.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to team members, helping them develop their skills and advance their careers.
  • Design and implement database solutions across various platforms, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Develop and implement AI and machine learning models to solve complex problems, driving business value and competitiveness.
Ideal Profile
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading software development or AI teams, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a strong foundation in software development and AI principles.
  • Proven expertise in front-end technologies such as React and Next.js, with a solid understanding of backend development using C++ and JavaScript.
  • Experience with mobile app development for iOS and/or Android, with proficiency in using Git for version control.
  • Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms, with experience in designing and implementing database solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement AI and machine learning models, with a strong focus on problem-solving and data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience in overseeing project delivery from start to finish, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders, team members, and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in performance monitoring, feedback, and team development, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborative mindset, with the ability to facilitate teamwork and coordinate efforts between multiple teams and stakeholders.
