Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of equipment and apparatus, as well as assisting teaching staff in demonstration, laboratory, and practical classes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of equipment and apparatus
  • Assist teaching staff in demonstration, laboratory, and practical classes
  • Update laboratory exercise instruction sheets
  • Apply for licenses for chemicals and facilities in laboratories
  • Oversee and enforce overall safety regulations in designated areas
  • Assist in procurement and inventory control of relevant stores and equipment
  • Assist in staff training and supervision
  • Maintain tidiness of workshops and laboratories
Requirements
  • Recognised diploma or higher certificate in Marine Engineering or relevant discipline
  • At least 6 years' relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua
  • Good supervisory, communication, interpersonal skills, and administrative skills
  • Self-initiative and good team player

  • Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic or professional qualifications may also apply
  • Shortlisted candidates may be required to attend and pass a trade test
  • The appointee may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned
