Job Description

Nurse Practitioner Role

Vestal Central School District is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team. This is a non-competitive position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including health assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, collaborating with healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Conduct routine medical exams, take medical histories, and order diagnostic tests when necessary.
  • Prescribe medications and other treatments based on patient needs and medical guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and outcomes.
Requirements
  • A current license to practice nursing in the state of New York.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a registered nurse or nurse practitioner.
  • Demonstrated expertise in providing primary and specialty care to patients of all ages.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records systems and other software applications used in healthcare settings.
