Position Overview:

The Department of Travel and Transportation is seeking Technical Officer(s) to join various teams focused on Civil Aviation Engineering.

Responsibilities:

Air Traffic Control Systems Operation and Maintenance Team:

  • Support technical operations and maintenance/repair for air traffic control (ATC) systems, airport-related technologies, and electronic/communication/IT equipment, along with their ancillary support facilities.
  • Aid in the planning, organization, supervision, and execution of maintenance/repair tasks for systems/equipment, ensuring system reliability and availability through thorough reviews.
  • Participate in preventive and corrective maintenance, on-site installations, testing, commissioning, and fault diagnosis, while assisting in the preparation of fault investigation reports and procurement plans for spare parts or maintenance services.
  • Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders, including government departments, airport authorities, vendors, and subcontractors for operational and maintenance activities.

Project Team:

  • Assist in project work related to air traffic control (ATC) systems and associated electronic/communication/IT equipment.
  • Contribute to project tender bidding processes and implementation, including drafting design submissions, material/service procurement requirements, and supervising subcontractor installation efforts.
  • Monitor project progress and financials to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion, assisting in the preparation of progress reports.
  • Engage with various internal and external parties for seamless project execution and maintenance activities.

Team assignments will be determined based on the qualifications, experience, and personal attributes of the selected candidates.

Candidate Profile:

  • A certificate or higher in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunication, Computer, Software, Information, e-logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
  • Training in Air Traffic Safety Electronic Personnel/Professional (ATSEP) is advantageous.
  • Proven hands-on experience in system design, testing, commissioning, and maintenance in mission-critical environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong team player with a customer-focused approach, proactive attitude, and commitment to quality and safety, complemented by excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure while maintaining a high standard of work quality.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English; knowledge of Putonghua is a plus.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • A valid driving license is a plus.
