Job Description - External Affairs Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced External Affairs Manager to join our team at Mass Transit Railway.

Responsibilities:
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Develop and implement proactive stakeholder engagement strategies to foster strong relationships with key government entities, political parties, and other strategic stakeholders.
    • Attend meetings, organize events, and provide support to address stakeholder enquiries and concerns.
  • Crisis Management
    • Provide effective support for handling crisis and controversial issues from a stakeholder management perspective.
  • Public Outreach
    • Develop and execute publicity and community outreach initiatives to enhance the Corporation's business development.
  • Other Duties
    • Take up on-call duties or work outside office hours as required.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Communications, Public Relations, Government and Public Administration, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience, with 2 years at managerial or senior supervisory level.
  • Strong knowledge of current affairs and good understanding of Hong Kong's political landscape and its interaction with Mainland China/local Government organisations/public sector.
  • Good understanding and prior experience with Mainland China political institutions is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
