About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and empathetic individual to make a positive impact on the lives of university students. As a Student Wellness and Outreach Specialist, you will play a key role in developing and implementing initiatives that enhance student mental health, resilience, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team to provide comprehensive support services to students, including crisis intervention, counseling, and referral services.
  • Work closely with faculty and staff to promote a culture of inclusivity, respect, and social responsibility on campus.
  • Design and implement creative programs and events that foster student engagement, belonging, and sense of community.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and maintain a range of resources and services that support student well-being, including workshops, groups, and online platforms.
  • Provide training and supervision to staff and students on topics related to mental health, diversity, and inclusion.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as psychology, counseling, or education, and at least 7 years of experience in youth development or a related field.
  • Registration/eligibility for registration in relevant professional bodies is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English and Cantonese/Putonghua, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and group work and crisis intervention skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with students at tertiary educational level and enthusiasm for enhancing their educational goals.
