Mercer is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Wealth team in Hong Kong. As a seasoned professional in the pension advisory industry, you will play a key role in delivering client work, leading client accounts, and supporting business development activities.

About the Position

  • This is a full-time role that requires working at least three days a week in the office.
  • You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of client work, managing client relationships, and contributing to business growth through networking and business development.
  • The successful candidate will have extensive experience in pension advisory, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead client delivery with close management of team effort, focusing on high-quality output and time efficiency.
  • Develop as a subject-matter expert in key topics related to Mercer Wealth's solutions and coach junior members in completing assignments efficiently.
  • Respond to day-to-day enquiries from clients or internal counterparts in a timely and professional manner.
  • Contribute to business development activities by driving new business proposals and developing deep client relationships.
  • Foster a collaborative culture by interacting with internal local and regional team members.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in the pension advisory industry, including client-facing duties.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Sound project management and coaching skills, able to plan ahead and execute in a timely manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good command of MS Office applications and strong IT skills.
  • Strong language capabilities in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Academic and professional qualifications in numerate subjects.
  • Actuarial associate or fellow status.
