Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at the Hospital Authority.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake basic psychiatric nursing duties, including providing care and support to patients with mental health conditions.
  • Work under the guidance and supervision of senior nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Conduct assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and evaluate patient progress.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on mental health issues and treatment options.
Requirements
  • A Certificate of Enrolment (Part II) and a valid Practising Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong.
  • Fluent Cantonese language skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Attributes
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • Experience working with patients with mental health conditions.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric nursing principles and practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Working Conditions
  • Required to work shifts or perform on-call duties.
  • May be required to work in another work location to meet service needs of the HA.
  • Required to wear uniform.
  • Free uniform and laundry provided.
  • Free overnight accommodation provided for shift duties.
