Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate dispute matters and litigation cases, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Develop and maintain internal guidelines, policies, and reports on dispute matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with internal commercial and technical departments to provide legal support and guidance on dispute matters.
  • Coordinate with external legal advisors and manage their work in relation to litigation cases, ensuring seamless communication and effective project management.
  • Draft and review day-to-day commercial contracts, taking part in contract negotiation and ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Develop and regularly update templates of contracts and legal documentation, ensuring consistency and compliance with company policies.
  • Support on M&A and investment projects, providing legal advice and guidance to ensure successful project execution.
  • Conduct internal training sessions on legal topics, ensuring that all employees are aware of their legal obligations and responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Registered lawyer in Hong Kong or other common law jurisdictions with at least 6 – 8 years' PQE.
  • Solid experience of handling litigation matters and commercial contract drafting gained in reputable law firms and in-house environments.
  • Experience gained from the telecommunications industry and Chinese SOEs is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in English and Chinese (with ability to read, write, and speak as working languages).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and attentive to details.
