Position Overview:

The role of the Sourcing Assistant is pivotal in enhancing our procurement processes and driving strategic initiatives within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the team leader in implementing innovative procedures and initiatives.
  • Oversee and finalize the tendering process for indirect materials as necessary.
  • Formulate procurement strategies tailored to specific product categories for various projects or divisions.
  • Analyze and compile data on product categories, focusing on costs, supplier capabilities, quality, terms, and safety for effective negotiation.
  • Research and establish a robust supply chain by networking with competitive manufacturers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with user departments or project sites to assess supplier performance and product quality for future procurement evaluations.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of new initiatives, including supply chain and data management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields.
  • A minimum of 10-12 years of relevant experience, preferably in procurement or sourcing, with a background in construction being advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is a plus.
  • Self-driven and capable of working independently while fostering a cooperative and proactive environment.
  • Open-minded leader with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at various levels.
  • Well-organized and a team player, skilled in preparing tender documents, conducting technical and cost analyses, and evaluating factories and suppliers.
  • Possess in-depth market and product knowledge, with the ability to research trends in technology and products.
