The Centre for Cerebro-cardiovascular Health Engineering (COCHE) is a collaborative research centre established to tackle cardiovascular disease, a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Our mission is to develop innovative technologies to enable early prevention, diagnosis, and intervention of cardiovascular disease.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team and contribute to the development of control systems and imaging technologies for medical devices. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers and researchers to design, develop, and integrate control systems and imaging systems for medical devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate control systems and imaging systems for medical devices
- Collaborate with engineers and researchers on application development
- Support the improvement and design of medical device prototypes
- Handle document preparation and independent code writing
- Perform testing and adjustment tasks of medical device prototypes
Requirements
- Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a closely related field
- Previous experience in control system development, algorithm design, and project management
- Independent working ability in system design with practical experience in computer programming
- Routine work with one or more programming languages, such as C, C++, C#, Python, etc.
- Strong background in coordinating software and hardware development
- Related track records in conducting applied research
- Excellent oral communication and written skills in English
- Good organizational and analytical abilities
- Mature, responsible, hardworking, and able to work independently and as a team member
Preferred Qualifications
- High-quality publications or related experimental or modeling experience
Remuneration and Duration of Appointment
The remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits for full-time appointments include leave and medical insurance, etc. Initial appointments will be made on a fixed-term contract of up to 1-3 years commencing immediately. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance and mutual agreements.
