Job Opportunity

The Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at The Chinese University of Hong Kong is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Academic Anaesthetist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical services in anaesthesia, supervising students, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and conducting clinical research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing high-quality clinical services in anaesthesia
  • Supervising students and teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses
  • Conducting clinical research and publishing research papers
  • Participating in departmental meetings and contributing to departmental decisions

Requirements

  • Specialist medical qualification in Anaesthesia (approved for specialist registration with The Medical Council of Hong Kong)
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in anaesthesia
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Proficiency in Cantonese and Putonghua is an advantage

  • Fixed-term contract basis, initially for up to three years
