Job Purpose:- To assist the Group Compliance Division in ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines and standards, such as data privacy, deposit protection, and Code of Banking Practice.
- To promote a bank-wide compliance culture by delivering compliance training and awareness programs to internal stakeholders.
- Review and provide expert advice on banking compliance-related documents, workflows, procedures, and guidelines.
- Conduct independent compliance reviews and assessments to ensure the effectiveness of policies and internal controls.
- Identify and report internal control weaknesses, recommending corrective actions or enhancements for implementation.
- Support the compliance team in preparing materials for regulatory trainings.
- Perform day-to-day compliance tasks as assigned.
- Undertake ad hoc projects as required.
- A degree in Laws, Finance, Banking, or related fields is preferred, along with relevant professional qualifications.
- A minimum of 6 years' experience in the financial services industry, preferably with compliance monitoring and testing or audit experience in banking.
- Familiarity with financial services-related laws and regulations is essential.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Banker (CB) or ECF in Compliance are desirable.
- An analytical mind, strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills are necessary.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Candidates with less experience may be considered for Assistant Manager roles.
