Curatorial Responsibilities:

The Hong Kong Palace Museum (HKPM) seeks a seasoned Curator to oversee the development of exhibitions and curatorial programmes. This role involves coordinating with the Palace Museum on matters related to display arrangements, as well as collaborating with international and regional museums and institutions on research and curatorial matters.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and overseeing the configuration, organisation, and management of exhibition galleries under their purview. They will also provide coaching and guidance to the team on delivering exhibitions and manage the annual departmental budget related to exhibitions and curatorial programming.

The ideal candidate should possess a recognised university doctoral degree in Art History, Archaeology, History, Fine Arts, Cultural Studies, Museum Studies, Creative Media, or relevant disciplines. They should have at least 8 years of experience in curatorial and museum-related work, with specialisation in the history of Chinese decorative arts and broad knowledge of Chinese and world arts.
