Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Overview
In the role of Quality Assurance Specialist at Classy Wheeler Limited, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our software releases and IT changes.
The Information Technology team consists of around 50 employees, and as a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will report directly to the Project Services Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Gap Analysis: Conduct thorough gap analyses of current scripts and new scripts required for testing of software releases, IT Changes, and project lifecycles.
- Test Case Creation and Execution: Create and execute test cases following documented user scenarios and personas.
- System, Integration, and Regression Testing: Perform system, integration, and regression testing to ensure the quality of our software releases.
- Defect Management: Detect and manage all defects in ServiceNow, agreeing on priority and remediation actions with stakeholders.
- User Experience: Ensure appropriate testing is conducted to establish the User Experience, driving user adoption and change.
- Performance Management: Use performance management tools to measure against key metrics through all pre-production lifecycles.
- Risk Management: Identify and raise risks promptly with project managers and stakeholders.
- Testing Acceptance: Manage the testing acceptance process, including business sign-off.
- Departmental and Project Deadlines: Work towards departmental and project deadlines.
- Feedback and Communication: Provide timely feedback to colleagues to recognize achievements and areas of improvement. Present and communicate findings to project teams, technical and non-technical colleagues.
Requirements
- A strong understanding of Microsoft packages and common legal applications is essential.
- Experience with defect management and application performance tools such as ServiceNow, Lakeside Systrack, and Jira is necessary.
- You must possess a service-focused attitude and professional manner suitable for a commercial law firm.
- Confident and clear communication (verbal and written) skills are required to interact with people at all levels of the business hierarchy.
- You should be able to lead, motivate, and develop a team using a clear, concise, and politely assertive manner.
- Able to use initiative and make suggestions to change processes where required.
- Responsive to requests, managing time effectively, and working under pressure are essential skills.
- A proactive nature, hardworking, and able to structure own work and work unaccompanied when required.
- Well-organized, with good time management skills and adherence to agreed milestones and deadlines.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is necessary.
- Previous experience in a legal or other professional services firm/partnership structure is desirable.
Estimated Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum
