As Student Restorative Justice Leaders, you will play a crucial role in promoting, implementing, and engaging in Restorative Justice practices within our district.

Job Responsibilities

  • Help continue to lead the work on Restorative Justice at the district level.
  • Foster a profound sense of belonging within our ICSD community by cultivating empathy, understanding, and mutual respect.
  • Create inclusive spaces where individuals can come together to build community, learn, and grow, valuing all voices in their journey towards healing and wholeness.
  • Nurture a culture of love and accountability, encouraging patience, honesty, forgiveness, and trust.
  • Equip individuals with the necessary tools, guided by the pedagogical stances of history, language, justice, race, and futures, to proactively prevent harm and foster reconciliation when needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Basic awareness of the Ithaca City School District's commitments to eliminating race, class, and disability as predictors of academic performance, co-curricular participation, and discipline.
  • A strong willingness to support these efforts.
  • Must be a work-eligible student enrolled in the Ithaca School District.
