ERM Hong Kong is a leading consulting company that seeks highly motivated individuals to grow its business in the field of Process Safety, Risk and Reliability Assessment and Safety Management. As a Safety Consultant, you will provide technical expertise in hazard identification and risk assessment studies for process plants across various industries, including oil and gas, renewable energy, and long pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance on safety and risk projects involving risk analysis, modeling, calculations, and other studies.
  • Perform robust technically sound analysis based on reasoned argument and defensible data/information, focusing on quantitative risk analysis (QRA), fire and explosion modeling, gas and smoke dispersion modeling, risk calculations, non-flammable hazard analysis, escape, temporary refuge, evacuation, and rescue analysis (ETRERA) for off-shore facilities, safety critical element/systems analysis, pipeline risk assessments, cost/benefit analysis, and safety integrity level (SIL) studies.
  • Suggest improvements/changes to design to reduce risk or improve operations.
  • Participate in safety workshops, including workshop preparation, scribe, and client reporting.
  • Attend client meetings and prepare proposals.
  • Prepare safety cases, including facility descriptions, safety management system descriptions, and formal safety assessment summaries.
  • Prepare high-quality reports with clear diagrams and fully explained analysis and calculations.
  • Manage multiple projects within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering; Master's degree and/or professional registration is a plus.
  • Experience with projects under various local, regional, and national regulatory standards.
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and data presentation skills.
  • Strong Project Management skills.
  • Commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols.
  • Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent report writing skills. Fluency in both written and spoken English is a fundamental requirement.

Salary Range: HK$60,000 - HK$100,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, retirement plan, and opportunities for career growth and development.
