We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Researcher Officer/Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team at OLAB HK Limited. This role will play a crucial part in managing and analyzing sports performance and biomechanics data collected by research-grade equipment to develop software solutions for internal research and testing activities and sportswear development projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research to develop novel analysis methods and digital pipelines to accelerate the development and upgrade of company services and products. They will also build and maintain a data analysis system, including a database, ready for big data analysis to generate insightful ideas for sports product development.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who has a strong background in sports science, kinesiology, biomedical engineering, computer science, or a highly relevant discipline. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant research experience in an academic research institute or sports product industry, as well as strong experience in managing and analyzing human locomotion and performance research databases.

In addition to their technical skills, the successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team atmosphere. They will also have a good understanding of sports performance and product testing processes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research to develop novel analysis methods and digital pipelines
  • Build and maintain a data analysis system, including a database
  • Explore, design, develop, and validate biomechanics analysis and feedback systems

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. degree in Sports Science, Kinesiology, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or a highly relevant discipline
  • At least 3 years of relevant research experience in an academic research institute or sports product industry
  • Strong experience in managing and analyzing human locomotion and performance research databases
  • Proficiency in Python or C++
  • Experience in AI algorithm development for sports applications
