Key Responsibilities

The appointee will play a pivotal role in advancing the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences' mission to deliver exceptional veterinary education, cutting-edge clinical research, and community engagement. The appointee will be responsible for teaching across the BVM curriculum, ensuring students attain Day 1 competence. They will provide expert guidance on learning, teaching, and assessing essential clinical skills, techniques, and procedures in educational and workplace environments. Additionally, the appointee will contribute to administrative work and other duties to facilitate the development of the College and its Departments.

Requirements

The appointee must possess a veterinary qualification recognized for registration as a veterinary surgeon in Hong Kong, with degrees in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc), or equivalent. Board certification in any discipline is required for appointment at Clinical Associate Professor level or above. For Clinical Assistant Professor, credentials for Board certification should be completed or near completion. Experience in clinical teaching in higher education, service, and research is essential. A PhD is preferred for clinical track and essential for tenure track.
