- Main Responsibilities: Lead a team to manage operations at our medical waste treatment plant, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and maximizing efficiency.
- Shift Management: Manage shifts and lead teams to ensure waste treatment schedules are met, while maintaining operational procedures, health, safety, environmental, and performance requirements.
- Resource Planning: Plan, organize, direct, and control resources like machinery and manpower during shifts.
- Process Monitoring: Monitor plant processes, respond to upsets/malfunctions, troubleshoot issues, and take corrective actions to restore normal operations.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve operational issues, equipment malfunctions, or process deviations, taking appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve technical problems.
- Emergency Response: Respond to alarms and emergency conditions, taking steps to correct and normalize conditions.
- Optimization: Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to subordinates, supporting the development of junior operators.
- Education: Higher Diploma or above in Chemical Engineering, Operations Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in chemical plant or process plant operations.
- Specialized Knowledge: Knowledge in wastewater treatment, incineration, or boiler operations is an advantage. Certification as a water tube boiler operator or forklift driver is a plus.
