Job Overview

Sales and Trading in Global Financial Markets

In this role, you will be responsible for strengthening DBS's Fixed Income franchise through the distribution of Fixed Income Products to Global Real Money accounts and Hedge Funds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strengthen relationships with Global Real Money accounts and Hedge Funds to drive sales growth.
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand the Fixed Income Platform through offerings in cash bonds, Swap solutions, and other value-added services.
  • Facilitate flow business with GFM Credit Trading to service liquidity in bond markets.
  • Provide regular market updates and trade ideas to support the team's financial goals.
  • Assist in Fixed Income product distribution, including pitching Primary and Secondary deals, trade execution, and settlements.
  • Aid in Primary deal placements into investors, and driving reverse inquiry private placements.
  • Prepare market data reports to facilitate better market-making and DCM capabilities.
  • Perform various administrative tasks as assigned by senior bankers (including digital project matters).

Requirements

  • Degree holder with a minimum of 3 years of experience in capital markets, preferably in sales advisory, specifically in Credit or Rates Sales.
  • Experience in data analysis and digital transformation is an advantage.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with a solid grasp on product knowledge in Fixed Income cash bonds.
  • Experience or knowledge in derivatives relevant to Fixed Income, such as Interest-Rate Swaps, Cross Currency Swaps, CDS, REPOs, and other related products would be ideal.
  • Solid business relationships with market participants.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with good business acumen.
  • Strong data analytical mindset and ability to formulate business strategies in changing market conditions.
  • A team player, with a strong mindset to be compliant with regulations in responsible dealing.
  • Fulfillment of requirements under the Enhanced Competency Framework on Treasury Management is preferred.
  • Good command of written and verbal communication skills in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • RI license holder with passes in HKSI Licensing Exam (Paper 1, 7 & 8) or equivalent.
