The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is seeking a seasoned communications professional to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Communications Specialist, you will work closely with the Senior Manager to develop and execute publicity strategies and engagement efforts for special projects, as well as other University initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement publicity strategies to generate positive publicity among local, mainland, and international audiences.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager to devise proposals and execute engagement efforts for special projects.
  • Utilize excellent writing skills to craft clear and effective messages, and devise proposals to generate positive publicity.
  • Stay up-to-date with current affairs and social sentiments, and identify potential negative media coverage.
  • Work closely with the team to develop and execute publicity strategies and engagement efforts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Media, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in communications, media, or stakeholder engagement, with a special focus on Hong Kong's medical and health sector.
  • Proven track record in writing and editing, as well as proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • Experience and knowledge of biomedical and/or biotechnology development in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area is a definite advantage.
  • Strong computer literacy, including website design and development, good project management skills, and a collaborative mindset.
