Illumination Designer

Role Description

This role involves working closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality lighting designs that meet the needs of our clients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for lighting design, a strong understanding of industry best practices, and excellent communication skills.

The Lighting Design Specialist will be responsible for developing comprehensive lighting plans, specifications, and design documentation, as well as leading the lighting design process for major projects from concept development to final installation. This will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet all relevant building codes, energy efficiency standards, and sustainability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate expertise in lighting design techniques and market trends to influence design decisions.
• Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and other stakeholders to ensure the lighting design aligns with the overall project vision.
• Develop comprehensive lighting plans, specifications, and design documentation.
• Lead the lighting design process for major projects, managing project timelines and budgets.
• Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, ensuring project success.

Requirements

• Higher Diploma holder or above in Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a professional lighting designer, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, PhotoShop, and lighting design software (e.g., DIALux, Lighting Reality, AGi32).
