The Department of History

The Department of History at Lingnan University is a vibrant and dynamic community of scholars, dedicated to advancing knowledge and understanding of the past. We invite applications for a Professor in any area of specialty within the discipline of history.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and publish scholarly articles in internationally leading peer-reviewed journals and with major scholarly presses.
  • Teach and develop courses in history, with a focus on undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Assume the role of Head of the History Department, leading the department and taking on leadership roles within the university.
  • Develop and implement departmental strategies to enhance research and teaching excellence.

Requirements

  • Hold an internationally prominent scholar in the field of history.
  • Have a successful track record of scholarly publications and grant records.
  • Have broad experience in teaching, course development, and administrative leadership.
