Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Office Agent to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests, ensuring seamless check-in and check-out processes, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and courtesy.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience and location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing room keys in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manage all payment types, including room charges, cash, checks, debit, and credit, with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ensure smooth check-outs, resolving any late or disputed charges, and providing exceptional service throughout the process.
  • Answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in and ensure optimal guest satisfaction.
  • Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors and dispatch bell staff or valet staff as needed to enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Supply guests with directions and information regarding property and local areas of interest to promote loyalty and repeat business.
  • Run daily reports on arrivals, departures, and special requests, identifying any discrepancies and taking corrective action.
  • Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system with accuracy and attention to detail.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Friendly and approachable demeanor with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
  • Previous front office experience an asset, with a strong understanding of hotel operations and systems.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, with flexibility to adapt to changing situations.
