The Role

We are seeking a seasoned strategy professional to drive strategy development and long-term strategic initiatives for AIAHK.

This individual will act as a strategic advisor to the executive and business teams, and as a Centre of Excellence (COE) for strategy development within AIAHK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the process of strategy development in AIAHK, including developing insights, defining new strategic priorities, shaping and synthesizing enterprise-wide strategic plans, and building stakeholder alignment.
  • Deliver insights and thought leadership on market developments and implications for AIAHK.
  • Monitor competitor developments and analyse drivers of relative performance.
  • Identify critical trends and changes in AIA's operating environment.
  • Develop thought leadership and strategic analyses of emerging opportunities and threats.
  • Identify new strategic opportunities and strategies.
  • Assemble and lead cross-functional teams for the development and exploration of key strategies by working closely with relevant business leaders and external consultants.

Requirements

  • University degree with over 10 years working experience in strategy roles required.
  • MBA or similar qualification desirable.
  • Strong business acumen and result-oriented, with proven track record in attaining business results.
  • Industry knowledge of life and health insurance is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, being open-minded to develop and adopt new, innovative ways of working.
  • Good communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.
  • Be adaptable, able to interact and build strong relationships with people from a diverse range of backgrounds.
