Legal & Compliance Associate

Our Legal & Compliance Team is seeking a seasoned corporate lawyer with expertise in HK listing rules compliance, general corporate governance, and commercial transactions. This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a reputable company with strong financial backing and gain experience in handling legal matters, managing legal risks, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations across various markets.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement legal policies and guidelines to protect the company's interests and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations;
  • Draft documents and provide advice and analysis in relation to the day-to-day operation of the company, including listing rules compliance, corporate governance, and other corporate/regulatory matters;
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on legal/compliance developments that may impact the company's operations and recommend appropriate courses of action;
  • Provide legal training to business stakeholders on key legal issues and best practices;
  • Provide timely and practical legal advice and analysis to the company to assist in commercial projects and legal affairs, including reviewing and drafting contracts, agreements, and other legal documents;
  • Assist other senior lawyers with different tasks assigned from time to time and effectively administer the Legal & Compliance Team.
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years' post-qualification experience gained from reputable law firms or MNCs;
  • Qualified in Hong Kong or other common law jurisdictions;
  • Experience in HK listing rules compliance, corporate governance, and commercial transactions;
  • Exceptional attention to detail and excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with ability to work independently or in a team;
  • Strong sense of responsibility and responsiveness;
  • Energetic with excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin);
  • Able to demonstrate strong commercial awareness;
  • Experience in dealing with data protection issues and regulatory practice relating to international businesses, an advantage.
